About the Role As a Heavy Equipment Transport and Rigging Specialist, you will play a vital role in the lifecycle of industrial machinery by managing the safe transport, precise installation, and complex dismantling of heavy assets. This position combines technical driving expertise with hands-on mechanical rigging skills to ensure project success and operational efficiency in the field. Responsibilities Execute the transport of industrial machinery using semi-tractors and trailers while maintaining strict adherence to safety and DOT standards. Perform complex rigging operations, including the lifting, positioning, and securement of heavy equipment to ensure structural integrity during moves. Lead the dismantling, relocation, and onsite installation of industrial systems to meet client project timelines. Utilize forklifts and specialized heavy machinery to maneuver equipment in challenging industrial environments. Collaborate with project teams to interpret technical blueprints and CAD drawings for accurate equipment placement. Maintain high standards of equipment health by performing routine inspections and troubleshooting mechanical issues. Ensure all material handling and load securement practices meet rigorous safety protocols. Qualifications Required Skills Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in heavy-haul transportation and industrial rigging. Current DOT medical certification and ability to meet physical demands of the role. Proficiency with hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and heavy-duty material handling equipment. Must be at least 21 years of age. Preferred Skills Active forklift operator certification or demonstrated ability to obtain one. Prior experience in industrial machinery installation or field service environments. Familiarity with crane operations and advanced load securement techniques. Strong background in equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
