Adjunct Position Funding:
Regular Minimum Education/Training/Experience High School Diploma. Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Minimum 5 years work experience in the industrial or construction field. Including but not limited to Rigging but further experience in crane operations, heavy crane operations, and ironworker rigging a plus. Forklift Operator license or the ability to obtain one. Preferred Education/Training/Experience Minimum of an Associate's Degree or Certificate in Rigging. Minimum Knowledge & Skills Knowledge and understanding of transporting materials and equipment from one location to another. Knowledge and understanding of rated capacity, sling alignment, hitches and hardware attachments. Knowledge and understanding of manual, electric and overhead trolley hoists. Knowledge and understanding of ANSI hand signals. Preferred Knowledge & Skills N/A Job Duties Teach assigned classes in keeping with approved syllabi, outlines, and instructional materials through classroom and lab instruction. Provide counsel/guidance to students when there is a need. Maintain accurate student accounting records in compliance with COM. Licensing/Certification Requirements N/A Physical Requirements Positions in this class typically require: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
