Job Description

Have real roofing experience and take pride in clean, detailed work? HoneyBee Window Cleaning is hiring a seasonal Christmas light installer for homes and businesses throughout the Shoals. We need someone who already knows how to work safely on roofs and ladders and can handle most installations independently. The owner will help on unusually difficult jobs. Professional roofers and experienced gutter, siding, or construction workers with substantial hands-on roof experience are encouraged to apply. Previous Christmas light installation experience is a strong plus.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Install and reinstall Christmas lights on residential and commercial rooflines. Follow each property's installation plan and produce straight, secure, clean-looking results. Set up and use ladders, tools, and safety equipment appropriately, and recognize when conditions require help or a change of plan. Work independently on most jobs, communicate clearly with the owner and customers, and respect customers' property. Record job progress and photos, keep equipment organized, and clean up before leaving. Return for light takedowns after the holidays.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Professional roofing experience or substantial hands-on roof work. Tell us what you personally did, not just the name of your trade. Practical experience working from ladders and at roof height, with sound safety judgment. Ability to complete quality work independently without rushing or cutting corners. Reliable transportation to work and availability Wednesday-Saturday during the installation season. Professional communication and attention to detail. Interest in seasonal installation work and post-holiday takedowns.
SCHEDULE AND EQUIPMENT
Installations begin in October 2026. The work schedule is Wednesday-Saturday during the day. Hours and workload vary with bookings, weather, and job conditions. HoneyBee provides the work truck, ladders, tools, and safety equipment.
EARNINGS
Installation pay is based on 15% of completed installation revenue, excluding lift charges. Our target is $6,000-$10,000 in eligible completed installation revenue per week, which would produce estimated earnings of $900-$1,500 for that week. This is a production-based earnings target, not guaranteed weekly pay. Actual earnings vary with completed work, and lighter weeks may pay below that range. You also keep 100% of tips from homeowners. Tips are in addition to the earnings described above. Post-holiday takedowns pay an additional 5% of the corresponding job revenue, excluding lift charges, when that takedown is completed. For example, a $1,000 installation excluding lift charges pays $150 for installation and $50 for the later takedown. The weekly installation earnings estimate above does not include takedown pay.
TO APPLY
Send your résumé or a short work history. Tell us about your roof experience, jobs you've handled on your own, and your availability starting in October. Christmas light experience is helpful, but actual roof experience is the priority.
