We are looking for someone with strong experience across multiple roofing systems who can confidently lead a crew, maintain productivity, ensure quality workmanship, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on position. The foreman will be expected to work alongside the crew when needed while also overseeing daily operations and installation quality. Projects are located throughout Southern California, so candidates must be willing to travel to different jobsites. Some projects may require or offer overnight stays near the project location. Company-arranged lodging, such as Airbnb accommodations, may be provided for these projects. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise roofing crews on residential and commercial projects
- Assign daily tasks and keep crews organized and productive
- Work alongside the crew and assist with roofing installation when necessary
- Oversee tear-offs, installations, repairs, and reroofing projects
- Maintain quality control throughout all phases of the project
- Ensure proper installation of roofing systems and waterproofing details
- Identify damaged decking, unforeseen conditions, additional work, and potential change-order items and report them to management
- Perform and supervise roof repairs and leak investigations
- Monitor material usage and communicate additional material needs
- Take job progress photos and document work as required
- Communicate daily progress, delays, jobsite conditions, and crew concerns with management
- Ensure crews follow OSHA requirements, fall protection procedures, ladder safety, and company safety policies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
- Coordinate professionally with general contractors, superintendents, property managers, inspectors, homeowners, and other trades when necessary
- Assist with loading, unloading, and handling roofing materials and equipment
- Travel to projects throughout Southern California
- Be available for occasional overnight stays near project locations when required or agreed upon Roofing Experience Candidates should have strong hands-on experience with multiple roofing systems, including:
- TPO roofing
- PVC roofing
- Modified bitumen / torch-applied roofing
- Built-up roofing (BUR)
- Asphalt shingles
- Concrete tile
- Clay tile
- Metal roofing
- Roof repairs and leak troubleshooting
- Flashings, penetrations, drains, curbs, coping, edge metal, roof-to-wall conditions, and other waterproofing details Requirements
- Several years of hands-on roofing experience
- Previous experience as a Roofing Foreman, Lead Roofer, Crew Leader, or similar position preferred
- Strong experience with both commercial and residential roofing
- Ability to lead and manage a roofing crew effectively
- Strong understanding of proper roofing installation and waterproofing practices
- Ability to identify improper installation and correct workmanship issues
- Experience troubleshooting roof leaks and completing repairs
- Knowledge of OSHA roofing safety requirements, fall protection, ladders, and PPE
- Ability to safely operate roofing tools, power tools, generators, welders, torches, and other roofing equipment
- Dependable, organized, and able to maintain crew productivity
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel throughout Southern California
- Comfortable working outdoors and on rooftops for extended periods
- Physically capable of climbing ladders and handling roofing materials
- Valid driver's license preferred
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus We are looking for a dependable and experienced foreman who takes pride in quality roofing work and can lead a crew from project setup through completion.
Our projects range from residential roofing and repairs to larger commercial roofing projects, so experience across multiple roofing systems is highly valued.
