Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Roofer specializing in repair and inspection to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and inspecting various roofing systems with precision and safety at the forefront. Your expertise will ensure the durability and integrity of roofing structures across diverse projects, from commercial buildings to residential properties. Duties Perform roofing installation, repair, and maintenance on a variety of materials including metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, tile, stucco, siding, and trim carpentry. Conduct thorough inspections of roofing systems to identify issues such as leaks, damage, or wear; document findings accurately for repair planning. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to execute roofing tasks according to project specifications and safety standards. Interpret technical drawings, construction plans, and specifications to ensure proper installation and repair procedures are followed. Apply construction estimating skills to assess project scope, material needs, and labor requirements for roofing projects. Adhere strictly to construction workplace safety regulations by using safety harnesses, ladder use protocols, and other personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with remodeling projects involving metal stud framing, siding installation, caulking, and heavy lifting as needed on-site. Follow all safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment while working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Support the interpretation of technical drawings and construction plans for complex roofing or siding projects. Experience Proven construction experience with a focus on roofing repair, installation, or inspection. Demonstrated knowledge of various roofing systems including metal roofing and single-ply membrane roofing. Experience working on construction sites with exposure to outdoor work environments over extended periods. Familiarity with construction safety harnesses, ladder use techniques, heavy lifting procedures, and construction workplace safety regulations. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, caulking techniques, tile laying, trim carpentry, stucco application, and siding installation preferred. Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately for precise execution of projects. Prior experience in remodeling projects involving metal stud framing or other interior/exterior finishing tasks is a plus.
