General Manager / Production Manager Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to oversee and complete commercial and residential roofing repairs and service projects. This position serves as the primary on-site representative for customers while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and according to manufacturer specifications, building codes, and quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience with residential and commercial roofing systems, enjoys working outdoors, communicates well with customers and subcontractors, and takes pride in delivering exceptional workmanship. ResponsibilitiesProject Management Manage commercial and residential roofing repair and service projects from start to finish. Ensure crews and materials arrive on schedule. Verify all required materials are on-site before work begins. Monitor daily job progress and maintain project schedules. Complete final walkthroughs with property owners or managers. Manage customer expectations throughout each project. Customer Service Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, property managers, and business owners during construction. Introduce yourself to customers and neighboring property owners when appropriate. Communicate project timelines, expected noise, cleanup procedures, and daily progress. Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally. Contact customers after each phase of work to ensure satisfaction before proceeding. Quality Control Inspect workmanship throughout each project.

Ensure all work meets:

Local building codes Manufacturer installation requirements Company quality standards Identify and correct installation deficiencies immediately. Prevent rework by addressing issues early. Ensure completed projects meet quality and appearance expectations. Documentation Photograph all stages of construction. Maintain accurate daily job logs and inventory reports. Upload all required documentation and photos the same day. Record customer interactions, repairs, and project notes in the company's project management software. Track project issues and resolutions. Safety Conduct daily safety meetings. Ensure all crews follow OSHA and company safety standards. Maintain organized, clean job sites. Monitor weather conditions and protect materials, equipment, and completed work. Equipment & Vehicles Maintain company vehicles in clean working condition. Complete vehicle inspection logs. Report maintenance needs immediately. Perform preventative maintenance on company equipment. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License Minimum 2 years of roofing experience Experience with: Asphalt Shingle Roofing Modified Bitumen (Mod Bit) Tile Roofing Metal Roofing Stone-Coated Steel Roofing Experience with: Roofing repairs Siding repairs Gutters Exterior repairs Paint touch-up Basic computer skills Basic math skills Understanding of insurance restoration claims Ability to safely walk roofs and use ladders Ability to lift up to 75 pounds Preferred Qualifications Experience with roofing project management software Google Workspace or Microsoft Office experience Customer service experience Sales or door-to-door sales experience Commercial construction experience Residential construction experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Successful candidates will demonstrate: Strong communication and customer service skills Leadership and problem-solving abilities Attention to detail Strong organizational skills Ability to identify poor workmanship and implement corrections Knowledge of residential and commercial building codes Understanding of manufacturer installation requirements Ability to manage subcontractors and job schedules Ability to recognize safety hazards and enforce safety standards Experience documenting construction progress with photos Professional appearance and attitude Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Walk on steep and low-slope roofs safely Climb and work from ladders Stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and drive for extended periods Lift and carry up to 75 pounds Work outdoors in varying weather conditions including: Heat Rain Snow Wind Cold temperatures Work Environment Outdoor construction environment Residential and commercial job sites Moderate to loud noise levels Local travel between job sites Exposure to changing weather conditions Performance Expectations Successful Service Technicians consistently: Complete daily job logs and inventory reports.
