In this role, you will be responsible for installing durable, high-quality aluminum carports that enhance our clients' properties. Your expertise in working with metal framing, roofing materials, and various hand and power tools will ensure each project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to outdoor construction projects that combine craftsmanship with customer satisfaction. Duties Measure and interpret technical drawings and construction plans to accurately install aluminum carports according to specifications. Prepare work sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding or ladders, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Use hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, and metal cutters to assemble and secure aluminum framing components. Install roofing elements including single-ply membrane roofing or metal roofing panels, ensuring proper sealing with caulking for weatherproofing. Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to construction safety harnesses and ladder use protocols. Conduct site inspections during installation to ensure compliance with construction safety regulations and quality standards. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to siding installation, drywall finishing, or remodeling tasks as needed. Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating, interpreting technical drawings, and following detailed construction plans. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment for precise metal framing and siding installation. Experience working with roofing systems such as roofing repair, metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and stucco applications. Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations, including the proper use of safety harnesses, ladders, and safety protocol adherence. Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions with a focus on heavy lifting and physical endurance. Background in remodeling projects involving drywall, caulking, stucco finishing, or metal stud framing. Ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret construction plans for efficient project execution. Demonstrated experience in construction site management, fabrication processes, and handyman tasks related to remodeling projects.
