Position Offered By a No Fee Agency Spherion Gainesville, FL has a local client seeking two experienced Service Technicians for their long-standing business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the roofing industry and be capable of contributing effectively to their service and repair operations.
Responsibilities:
Travel to and from local area homes and businesses for estimating and repairs.
Identify and repair roof leaks.
Repair and install various roofing, sheet metal, and flashing.
Perform and document roof inspections and repairs.
Complete daily paperwork and work orders accordingly.
Use basic hand and power tools.
Implement project instructions with specific details.
Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Capable of working on rooftops, in attics, and using ladders.
Working hours:
8:00 AM
5:00
PM Skills:
Strong communication skills with peers and customers
Willingness to learn and use company software
Basic computer and smartphone skills
Qualifications:
Previous experience in roofing and/or roof repairs
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record, the employee must have a valid driver's license to drive their personal vehicle or a company vehicle as required by the employer to various worksite locations.
Familiarity with various roofing systems, including installation and/or proper repair EPDM, PVC, low-slope, and metal/steep slope systems
Ability to travel locally when required and rotate weekends as needed
Compliance with OSHA reporting procedures
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Maintain an appropriate physical appearance and positive attitude
