This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in learning a skilled trade and building a long-term career in the hardscape industry. No previous paver installation experience is required. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, works well with a team, and takes pride in completing quality work. Job Responsibilities Assist with installing brick paver patios, driveways, walkways, steps, and other outdoor living projects Help excavate and prepare job sites Install and compact gravel base materials Assist with grading, leveling, and screeding sand Carry, cut, and place brick pavers Install edging and apply polymeric sand Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site Follow instructions from the Crew Foreman Follow all company safety procedures Qualifications No previous hardscape experience required Willingness to learn the paver installation trade Dependable and able to arrive at work on time Able to work outdoors in different weather conditions Able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and kneeling Comfortable using hand tools and power equipment after receiving training Able to work cooperatively as part of a crew Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Work Schedule $19.00-$24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Seasonal position, generally from April through early December Monday through Friday Typical hours: 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Overtime may be available depending on workload and weather Compensation and Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications Paid holidays Paid time off 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, subject to eligibility requirements Opportunities for advancement to experienced installer, crew leader, and foreman positions About Krügel Cobbles Krügel Cobbles, Inc. is a family-owned hardscape company serving Chicago's North Shore and the greater Chicagoland area since 1982.
