Job Description

Deep Creek Fireplace Store is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Fireplace Technician to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and servicing fireplaces for our customers. From new construction sites to residential retrofits, you will handle the delivery, setup, and safe installation of our units while providing excellent customer service. If you are a hands-on problem solver who is comfortable with heights and takes pride in a job well done, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities Preparation & Delivery:
Ensure all necessary parts and materials are prepped for install, repair, or service calls, and safely deliver units to the job site.
Professional Installation:
Set units and plan venting runs. Install necessary fire-stops, attach electrical and gas supplies, and properly vent and terminate runs while ensuring all required clearances are strictly maintained.
Roof & Exterior Work:
Access chase-tops and rooftops frequently via ladders (using proper fall protection on steep roofs) to install roof flashings and chase covers.
Retro-Installs:
Perform demolition work as needed for retro-installs, frequently requiring access to rooftops and attic spaces.
Clear Communication:
Speak professionally with job supervisors to coordinate installations. Communicate clearly with homeowners, explaining the process of cleanings or repairs, and setting expectations regarding noise and mess during demolition.

7:30 AM - 5:00 PM To succeed in this role, you should be able to think outside the box and bring strong problem-solving skills to every job site.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with basic power tools, basic math skills, and the ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely lift 50+ lbs and a strong comfort level working at heights (ladders, steep roofs, attics).
Soft Skills:
Excellent time management and communication skills to interact professionally with both construction supervisors and homeowners.
