$20 an hour starting - BOE Position Overview Midwest Exteriors LLC is seeking an experienced and dependable Siding Installer to join our growing installation team in the Traverse City area. The Siding Installer is responsible for professionally installing residential siding and related exterior products while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer service. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with residential siding installation, understands proper installation techniques, and takes pride in producing quality workmanship. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a crew, and a commitment to representing Midwest Exteriors professionally at every job site. Siding Installation Install residential siding according to manufacturer specifications and company standards Remove and dispose of existing siding and exterior materials as needed Install vinyl siding and other exterior siding products Install house wrap, insulation, flashing, trim, soffit, fascia, and other related exterior materials Measure, cut, and fit siding and trim accurately Ensure proper alignment, spacing, fastening, and finishing of all materials Perform necessary exterior repairs and preparation before installation Identify and communicate potential job-site issues to management Complete installations efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship Job Site & Project Management Review work orders and project details before beginning installation Prepare job sites and ensure materials and equipment are available Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area Protect customer property, landscaping, and surrounding areas during installation Safely load, unload, and organize materials and equipment Complete projects within established timelines and quality expectations Communicate job progress, concerns, and material needs to management Complete final walkthroughs and ensure work meets company quality standards Customer Service & Teamwork Represent Midwest Exteriors professionally at customer homes and job sites Communicate respectfully and professionally with homeowners Answer basic customer questions related to the installation process Work effectively with other installers, crew members, project managers, and office staff Maintain a positive and professional attitude Communicate installation concerns or customer issues to the appropriate team member Help ensure customers have a positive installation experience Safety & Equipment Follow all company safety policies and procedures Properly use personal protective equipment and safety equipment Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other installation equipment Inspect tools and equipment regularly and report damaged or unsafe equipment Maintain a clean and safe job site Follow proper ladder, fall protection, and job-site safety practices Maintain awareness of surroundings and potential hazards at all times Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous residential siding installation experience required Knowledge of siding installation techniques and exterior construction practices Experience using hand tools and power tools Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install siding and trim materials Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of an installation team Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong communication and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience installing vinyl, fiber cement, engineered wood, or other siding materials Experience installing soffit, fascia, trim, flashing, and exterior accessories Experience with exterior remodeling or residential construction Knowledge of basic carpentry and exterior repair Experience reading work orders, measurements, or project specifications Experience leading or working as part of a siding installation crew Experience in other exterior home improvement installations Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
