Job Title:
Fabricator Job Description We are hiring an Entry-Level Fabricator to join our production team. No extensive fabrication experience is required, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in manufacturing. The Fabricator will be trained to operate a variety of metalworking and woodworking equipment used to cut, form, and assemble metal and other materials. Equipment may include table and tube lasers, tube benders, CNC routers, saws, press brakes, and hand tools. Responsibilities Operate table lasers, tube lasers, and CNC routers to cut and shape pipes, sheet metal, and other metal materials according to specifications. Use tube benders and other forming equipment to fabricate metal components to required dimensions and tolerances. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine material requirements, measurements, and fabrication steps. Measure materials accurately using tape measures and other measuring tools to ensure precise cuts and assemblies. Perform saw operation, including safe and efficient use of table saws and other cutting equipment for wood and metal components. Fabricate and assemble shipping crates and other structures using carpentry skills and hand tools as needed. Set up, operate, and monitor CNC laser and other machine operations, making adjustments to ensure quality and consistency. Use hand tools, press brakes, and other fabrication equipment to form, weld, and assemble sheet metal parts. Follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and job procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Lift and move materials and components weighing up to 50 pounds on occasion while maintaining proper ergonomic and safety practices. Inspect finished parts and assemblies for accuracy, quality, and adherence to blueprint specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including routine care of tools and equipment. Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet production goals and support continuous improvement in fabrication processes. Essential Skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. Proficiency in measuring materials accurately using tape measures and other measuring tools. Previous machine operation experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment. Experience with saw operation, including table saws and other cutting equipment. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and job procedures. Capability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion. Hands-on experience with fabrication processes, including assembly and sheet metal work. Skill in blueprint reading and applying specifications to fabrication tasks. Basic welding and hand tool experience in a shop setting. Experience with laser operation, including CNC laser systems. Ability to work safely and follow established shop procedures and guidelines. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience with CNC routers and tube benders in a fabrication environment. Familiarity with press brake operation and forming sheet metal components. Comfort working with a variety of hand tools and shop equipment. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills in a production setting. Willingness to learn new machines and processes and grow into different roles within the facility. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delano, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
