$22.00-$28.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE)

Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Solar Installer to join our team supporting residential solar projects throughout the Ventura and Santa Barbara areas . The Solar Installer is responsible for the installation, assembly, and maintenance of solar energy systems, including solar panels, racking systems, battery storage systems, EV/car chargers, inverters, and related electrical components. This position requires working outdoors, on rooftops, and at elevated heights while following company safety procedures, project specifications, and applicable industry standards. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSolar, Battery & EV Charger Installation Install solar panels on rooftops, ground-mounted systems, and other approved structures according to project plans and specifications. Install racking and mounting systems to properly secure solar panels. Assist with the installation of battery storage systems and EV/car chargers. Install and connect solar equipment according to manufacturer specifications and company standards. Ensure installations meet quality, safety, and project requirements. Electrical Wiring & System Integration Connect solar panels to inverters and related electrical components. Run wiring from solar panels to inverters and electrical service panels. Assist with electrical connections associated with battery and EV charger installations. Test installed components to confirm proper operation and identify potential issues. Follow applicable electrical and safety requirements. System Testing & Commissioning Assist with testing completed solar, battery, and EV charging systems. Identify and troubleshoot installation-related issues. Make necessary corrections or adjustments prior to project completion. Assist with preparing completed systems for commissioning and operation. Safety Follow all company safety policies and jobsite procedures. Properly use fall protection, personal protective equipment (PPE), ladders, and other safety equipment. Maintain safe work practices while working on rooftops and at elevated heights. Maintain a clean and organized jobsite. Immediately report safety concerns, hazards, incidents, or damaged equipment. Documentation Accurately document installation activities and project progress. Record equipment, materials, and labor information as required. Complete required jobsite paperwork and documentation. Communicate installation issues, delays, or project concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Customer Service Maintain a professional and respectful presence while working at customer homes and properties. Answer basic customer questions regarding the installation process when appropriate. Protect customer property and maintain a clean work environment. Represent the company professionally and support our commitment to quality workmanship and customer service. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous solar installation, roofing, construction, electrical, or related trade experience preferred. Experience installing solar panels, battery systems, or EV chargers is a plus. Basic understanding of electrical wiring and electrical safety practices preferred. Ability to safely work on rooftops, ladders, and elevated surfaces. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to follow instructions, plans, and safety procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and customer service skills. Reliable attendance and dependable transportation. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred. Physical Requirements This position requires regular physical activity associated with solar installation and construction work, including: Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and reaching. Climbing ladders and working on rooftops and elevated surfaces. Lifting, carrying, pushing, and maneuvering tools, materials, solar panels, and equipment. Working outdoors in sunlight, heat, cold, wind, and other changing weather conditions. Wearing required personal protective equipment and fall-protection equipment. Work Location Projects are located throughout the Ventura and Santa Barbara areas . Employees may be required to report to different job sites depending on project needs. Work Environment Solar Installers primarily work outdoors on residential construction sites and rooftops. Work schedules and job locations may vary based on project schedules, customer needs, and weather conditions.
