The Installation Manager is responsible for ensuring projects are properly prepared before crews arrive on site, installers have the correct materials and approved plans, installations are completed according to project requirements, and field issues are communicated to the appropriate departments before unauthorized changes are made. This position requires strong leadership, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple installations and field crews simultaneously. Roles & Responsibilities Installation Planning & Scheduling Manage and coordinate the solar installation calendar based on project readiness, crew availability, project size, and required completion dates. Review upcoming installations in advance to identify outstanding construction or logistical issues. Confirm projects are construction-ready before dispatching installation crews. Coordinate installation schedules with Project Management, Engineering, Operations, electricians, subcontractors, and other applicable departments. Communicate schedule changes and installation delays to affected departments. Ensure crews do not begin projects before their approved scheduled installation date without proper internal authorization. Crew Management Manage and coordinate solar installation crews, electricians, subcontractors, and other field personnel. Assign crews based on project requirements, workload, location, and experience. Provide crews with clear project expectations before installation. Monitor installation progress and address field-related issues as they arise. Maintain accountability for crew performance, workmanship, productivity, and adherence to company procedures. Coordinate training or corrective action when recurring field issues are identified. Pre-Installation Readiness Verify crews have access to the latest approved plans and applicable project documentation before installation. Review project scope and installation requirements before dispatch. Confirm required equipment and materials are available before the scheduled installation. Verify outstanding pre-installation work has been completed or appropriately cleared before construction begins. Coordinate with Engineering when field conditions differ from approved plans or project documentation. Ensure unresolved issues are escalated before they become day-of-installation problems. Inventory & Material Coordination Review upcoming installations against required equipment and material lists. Coordinate with warehouse/inventory personnel to ensure materials are available and properly allocated. Confirm crews receive the correct modules, inverters, racking, electrical equipment, and other required materials. Identify shortages far enough in advance to prevent unnecessary installation delays. Ensure equipment substitutions are reviewed and approved by the appropriate department before being used. Track unused, damaged, missing, or returned installation materials as required. Field Changes & Engineering Coordination Ensure crews install projects according to the latest approved construction documents. Require field personnel to communicate site discrepancies before modifying an approved design. Obtain photographs, measurements, and other field information requested by Engineering. Coordinate with Engineering when roof conditions, electrical conditions, obstructions, equipment locations, or other site conditions differ from the approved plans. Ensure revised instructions or drawings are communicated to the field before work proceeds. Prevent unnecessary post-approval amendments and redesigns caused by unauthorized field changes. Installation Quality & Documentation Ensure installations comply with company workmanship standards and applicable project requirements. Review installation photographs and required field documentation for completeness. Ensure required installation photos are properly submitted before projects are considered complete. Coordinate correction of incomplete or deficient installation work. Track punch-list items and ensure outstanding installation work is completed. Support resolution of failed inspections, lender installation deficiencies, and construction-related corrective work. Safety & Compliance Promote compliance with company safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements. Ensure field personnel use required PPE and follow established job-site safety practices. Escalate unsafe conditions or practices immediately. Coordinate with company leadership regarding recurring safety or compliance concerns. Qualifications 2+ years of solar installation Bilingual in Spanish is a requirement. Previous experience supervising installation crews or field personnel strongly preferred. Working knowledge of residential and/or commercial solar installation practices. Ability to read and understand solar construction drawings and basic electrical diagrams. Strong scheduling, organization, and project-coordination skills. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple active installations simultaneously. Ability to identify potential construction issues before installation. Experience working with subcontractors and vendors preferred. Familiarity with solar modules, inverters, racking systems, electrical equipment, and balance-of-system materials. Experience with CRM or construction/project-management software preferred. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as necessary.

Pay:
