Job Description

This isn't just another installer job. We're building one of the fastest-growing permanent outdoor lighting companies in the area, and we're looking for the right people to grow with us. We install high-end permanent lighting systems that completely transform homes—giving homeowners beautiful architectural lighting for everyday use, holidays, game days, and special occasions. But what we're really building is bigger than lights. We're building a company where great people can develop real skills, take on responsibility, move into leadership positions, and be rewarded as the company grows. Why You'll Want to Work Here We want people who enjoy working hard, being outside, learning new things, and looking back at the end of the day knowing they built something they're proud of. You'll be part of a small, ambitious team—not just another employee number. We care about doing excellent work, moving efficiently, keeping our equipment organized, treating customers well, and having a team that actually enjoys working together. And as we grow, we want to promote from within. An installer who becomes great at the job can grow into a Lead Installer, Crew Leader, Project Manager, and eventually other leadership opportunities within the company. The better you become, the more opportunity you'll have. What You'll Actually Be Doing You'll work with our installation team on residential permanent lighting projects throughout the Buffalo area. You'll learn how to: Install professional permanent lighting systems on homes Work safely and confidently from ladders and roofs Plan clean, efficient installation routes Install track, wiring, controllers, and lighting components Troubleshoot systems and solve problems in the field Work efficiently with another installer Keep trucks, tools, and equipment clean and organized Communicate professionally with homeowners Turn an ordinary house into something that looks incredible at night Experience is great, but attitude matters more. We can teach someone how to install lights. It's much harder to teach someone to care. The Person We're Looking For You don't need to be perfect. But you should be the type of person who shows up on time, works hard, takes pride in their work, and wants to get better. You'll probably love this position if you're someone who likes working with your hands, prefers being outside instead of sitting behind a desk, enjoys seeing tangible results from your work, and wants more responsibility as you prove yourself. Construction, roofing, siding, electrical, landscaping, gutter, solar, low-voltage, or similar experience is a plus—but not required for the right person. You must be comfortable with heights and working from ladders. Where This Can Go We're not hiring someone just to fill a spot. We're looking for people who could become an important part of this company over the next several years. Our goal is to continue expanding our crews, customer base, and service area—and that creates opportunities for the people who help us get there. The path can look something like: Installer → Experienced Installer → Lead Installer → Crew Leader → Management As your skills, responsibility, and ability to lead increase, your compensation should increase with them. If you're looking for somewhere you can learn a valuable trade, become exceptionally good at what you do, make more money, and eventually lead other people, you'll have that opportunity here. Our Culture We take the work seriously without making the workplace miserable. We want a team that works hard, communicates, helps each other, keeps things organized, takes ownership when something goes wrong, and celebrates when we crush a project. No drama. No laziness. No "that's not my job" mentality. If something needs to get done, we handle it. If someone needs help, we help them. If we make a mistake, we own it and fix it. And when someone consistently performs at a high level, we want them to move up. What You'll Get You'll get hands-on training, real opportunities for advancement, increasing responsibility as you develop, performance-based pay growth, outdoor work where every day is different, and the chance to join a young company while we're still building it. Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to say: "I was here while we built this." That's the kind of person we're looking for. Interested? Don't send us a generic application that you've sent to 50 other companies. Tell us a little about yourself, your work experience, and why you think you'd be a great addition to our team. If you're hardworking, dependable, coachable, comfortable with heights, and hungry to grow— we want to meet you.
