About the Position

MW ENERGY LLC

is hiring an experienced Senior Solar Field Service Technician to support commercial and C&I solar projects throughout Southern California. This position is focused on solar O&M, troubleshooting, corrective maintenance, equipment replacement, testing, and field service . This is not an entry-level position and is not primarily a residential rooftop installation role . We are looking for someone who can independently diagnose solar system problems, complete repairs, communicate technical findings, and potentially lead junior technicians in the field. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot commercial and C&I solar PV systems. Diagnose inverter, electrical, communication, and performance issues. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance. Troubleshoot AC and DC circuits, strings, combiner boxes, disconnects, breakers, and electrical connections. Perform voltage, current, continuity, insulation resistance, and related electrical testing. Inspect and repair connectors, wiring, terminations, grounding, and damaged components. Perform inverter replacement, component replacement, and equipment repair. Support commissioning and recommissioning activities. Read one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, site plans, and OEM manuals. Perform torque verification and electrical/mechanical inspections. Document findings with photographs, test results, service reports, and corrective-action recommendations. Communicate directly with customers, project managers, OEM technical support, and

management. Lead or supervise junior technicians when assigned. Follow

LOTO, NFPA

70E, PPE, JHA/JSA, and site safety requirements. Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on commercial, C&I, or utility-scale solar field-service experience. Strong solar electrical troubleshooting experience. Experience troubleshooting commercial solar inverters. Strong understanding of DC and AC electrical systems. Experience working with three-phase commercial electrical systems. Proficient with multimeters and electrical test equipment. Ability to read one-line diagrams and electrical schematics. Experience with preventive and corrective solar maintenance. Ability to independently diagnose equipment failures. Strong field documentation and communication skills. Valid driver's license. Authorized to work in the United States. Willing to travel throughout Southern California. Preferred Qualifications Experience with any of the following is a strong plus: Commercial rooftop solar Ground-mount C&I solar Utility-scale solar String and central inverters Inverter commissioning and troubleshooting Megger / insulation resistance testing IV curve testing Thermal imaging Connector replacement and repair DC string troubleshooting DAS / monitoring / communication troubleshooting Switchgear and electrical distribution equipment Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

OSHA 10 / OSHA 30 NFPA 70E LOTO

First Aid / CPR Experience with Sungrow, SMA, Power Electronics, SolarEdge, Enphase, CPS, or other commercial inverter platforms is a plus but not required. Team Lead Opportunity Strong candidates may develop into a Solar Field Service Team Lead responsible for: Leading field crews Conducting JHA/JSA and pre-job briefings Assigning work Troubleshooting complex system failures Reviewing technician work and test results Coordinating with customers and OEM technical teams Training junior technicians Reviewing service reports and project closeout documentation Work Area This position primarily supports projects throughout: Los Angeles | Inland Empire | Orange County | San Diego | Southern California Occasional travel to projects outside California may be required.
