In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting photovoltaic (solar) systems on various commercial and residential sites. Your expertise will help ensure the safe and efficient operation of solar energy systems, contributing to a sustainable future. Duties Install photovoltaic systems, including panel mounting, wiring, and fixture installation, ensuring adherence to electrical safety procedures and NFPA 70 compliance standards. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately assemble and troubleshoot solar systems. Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems within photovoltaic installations. Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and roofing equipment safely to perform system assembly and maintenance tasks on rooftops or ground-mounted sites. Perform routine inspections of installed systems to identify issues related to wiring, connections, or component failure; execute repairs promptly. Follow strict electrical safety procedures during all phases of installation and maintenance activities in outdoor environments. Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate system installation on-site while adhering to project timelines and safety standards. Experience (must have previous Solar experience) Proven experience working as a solar technician or in a related electrical role within the renewable energy sector. Strong knowledge of photovoltaic system installation, electrical blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting electrical systems. Commercial electrician experience is highly desirable, with familiarity in high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical work. Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately; experience with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards is essential. Construction site experience including roofing or outdoor work environments; familiarity with construction safety protocols is required. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and fixture installation techniques safely in outdoor settings. Knowledge of electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting procedures, and adherence to NFPA 70 compliance regulations for photovoltaic systems installation.
