Job Description

Industrial Automation Maintenance Technician (Semiconductor/Solar) Is this you? Do you enjoy solving tough equipment faults in fast-paced production? Can you read a data trend, spot the anomaly, and act before downtime hits? Are you comfortable coaching junior teammates while handling critical repairs? If yes, a globally leading manufacturer in Wilmer is looking for Equipment Technicians at Level 1 and Level 2 for both day and night shifts. This is a temp-to-hire role with a clear growth ladder into senior technical and leadership positions. Pay Technician 1: $25/hour (nights: $27.50/hour) Technician 2: $27/hour (nights: $29.70/hour) What you'll tackle Plan and perform routine equipment checks to keep assets healthy and available. Log daily operations and maintenance work accurately. Troubleshoot and repair issues across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automated systems. Align machines during installation using hoists, jacks, squares, rulers, micrometers, and plumb bobs. Support repairs and debugging for newly deployed equipment. Respond quickly to maintenance requests; verify repair quality upon completion. Execute preventive maintenance to extend service life and raise utilization. Follow safety procedures and installation standards at all times, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO). Analyze equipment data and present concise reports to leaders. Share knowledge and train junior production personnel. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by management. Who thrives here Level 1 — Core qualifications Technical diploma, associate's, or higher in machinery, electronics, or automation; exposure to solar modules or semiconductors. 1-2 years in high-volume manufacturing (photovoltaic a plus). Strong troubleshooting ability across electrical, mechanical, and automation components. Knowledge of pneumatic systems. Comfort with shop equipment, hand tools, bench tools, and test/inspection gear. Level 2 — Added expectations All Level 1 capabilities. Independently resolves complex malfunctions with minimal supervision. Effectively trains and supports junior technicians. Advanced understanding of production equipment structure and principles; continuously improves maintenance skills.
