WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Slate is looking for an energetic, organized, and experienced Change Management Specialist to join our growing team. The Change Management Specialist supports an enterprise wide change program that flows a change in our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system from initiation to EBOM, MBOM, and SBOM. This role coordinates and facilitates the change management board approval process and effectivity date management as well as supporting change specialists in the manufacturing and service space. The Change Management Specialist will lead the development of change processes in addition to creating and communicating KPI reports. This is a hybrid role that requires on-site presence at our office in Troy, MI 1-2 days per week. WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Change Management Specialist will ensure the Change Management Process runs smoothly in the PLM system. This involves working directly with the cross-functional team to deliver program excellence and data integrity aligned with Slate's corporate objectives. Coordinate CRs (Change Requests) and ECNs (Engineering Change Notices) from initiation through BOM implementation ensuring timely completion of cross-functional actions. undefined Prepare and distribute Change Board agenda and meeting minutes. Follow up with cross-functional team members to drive CR/ECN actions. undefined Support user training to enable efficient management of changes within the PLM system. undefined Create reports to support pilot and production builds undefined Track and communicate change management KPIs This candidate will have an innate curiosity and analytical approach to everything. They will have a continuous improvement mindset and take great pride in finding nuggets of insight others have missed. The Specialist will be expected to take their own initiative to react to requests, research PLM solutions, report preparation, and other related needs. They must be organized, data driven, and pay attention to detail. Responsibilities Champion Slate's change management process, by becoming the go-to person who knows how to get things done. undefined Develop deep understanding of change management in the PLM system, understanding unique use cases and how it relates to Slate's product development process. undefined Be the expert to ensure efficient process; from change request creation through approval. Run company-wide meetings to ensure alignment from the cross functional team. undefined Track specific program metrics. undefined Audit data to ensure Program is aligned with leadership decisions and best practices. undefined Engage with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Commercial, Brand & Marketing, Service, and Finance teams to communicate and resolve issues. undefined Support Slate's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) transactions related to change activity as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Education & Experience BA / BS Degree in engineering/management discipline or equivalent in experience undefined 5+ years of related experience, preferably in the automotive industry undefined Experience with
PLM & ERP
systems, preferably Windchill and SAP undefined Excellent communication, team building, and relationship building skills undefined Data analysis skills with attention to detail and data integrity undefined Technical writing and documentation experience preferred Skills & Competencies Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent changes and priorities undefined Understanding of engineering change control processes (CR/ECN) undefined Proficiency with Smartsheet, Excel, and project tracking tools undefined Strong cross-functional communication skills and ability to drive accountability without direct authority undefined Detail-oriented with a focus on process discipline and follow-through undefined Familiarity with PLM systems (Windchill, Teamcenter) a plus
