About Us RAV Bahamas is the development group behind a luxury waterfront portfolio in Bimini, Bahamas - 50 miles from Miami, a world away from everything else. The portfolio spans residential communities (Rockwell Island, Illa Banyan, and signature residences) and marina assets (Bimini Bay Marina). OPAC Bahamas is our construction and operations arm. Every project on the island depends on materials, parts, and equipment that have to be sourced, bought, shipped, and received on time. Nearly all of it is bought and consolidated in Miami before it ships to the island. This role is the person who makes that happen. The Role You are the buyer for the group.
Your single deliverable:
every purchase request turns into a clean purchase order, gets the best price and lead time available, ships in the right container, and lands with the right paperwork - on dozens of open orders at once, without anything slipping. You live in the company's operations dashboard, your inbox, and your vendor list. You are extremely organized, comfortable with software, and unbothered by a high volume of moving parts. What You'll Do Purchasing Turn requests from construction, heavy equipment, marina, and operations into complete purchase orders in the operations dashboard Source and quote from multiple vendors; compare price, lead time, availability, and shipping terms Place orders, confirm them, and chase order confirmations, invoices, and tracking Vendor management Build and maintain the vendor directory: contacts, terms, lead times, pricing history Negotiate pricing and terms on repeat items; set up accounts with new suppliers Resolve back orders, substitutions, wrong shipments, and returns Logistics coordination Coordinate with the warehouse and freight forwarder so orders arrive for the right container Track what is in transit, what is late, and what is short; re-ship short quantities Keep customs and shipping paperwork (invoices, packing lists) complete and filed per order Records & follow-through Keep every PO current: status, expected date, cost changes, notes Match invoices to POs and receipts; hand clean records to accounting for QuickBooks Close out orders once received and reconciled Reporting & communication Give requesters a straight answer on where their order is at any time Deliver a weekly open-orders report: late, at-risk, awaiting approval, awaiting payment Flag price spikes, recurring vendor problems, and items worth stocking What Success Looks Like (first 90 days) Every open request logged as a PO in the system by end of month 1, nothing living only in email or WhatsApp Vendor directory complete for all active suppliers by month 2 Weekly open-orders report running by month 2 and trusted by the field Requesters stop asking "where is my order" because the system already says Requirements 2+ years in purchasing, procurement, buying, or supply-chain coordination Proven ability to run a high volume of open tasks at once without dropping any (non-negotiable) Highly organized and detail-driven: clean records, clear follow-up, nothing forgotten Tech savvy: fast and accurate in web-based software, spreadsheets, email, and shared documents; quick to learn a new system Strong written communication with vendors and the internal team Comfortable negotiating price and terms with suppliers Bilingual preferred - able to communicate in both English and Spanish Authorized to work in the United States Nice to Have Purchasing for construction, marine, or hospitality projects Experience with international shipping, containers, freight forwarders, or Bahamas customs QuickBooks or ERP / procurement software experience Familiarity with construction materials, MEP parts, or heavy equipment parts Personal Characteristics Extremely organized

Pay:
$40,000.00 - $62,565.13 per year
