Our company is a leading global supplier of scientific laboratory testing equipment. Position Summary This is a hands-on position in a fast paced, growing, and dynamic environment. Daily responsibilities include Reporting, Material Forecasting and Planning, Order Placement, and Vendor Relationships. Key Performance Indicators include but are not limited to Late PO Lines, Inventory Dollars, Parts Impacting the Manufacturing line.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The job duties of this position will include but are not limited to the following: Analyze material requirements to ensure uninterrupted flow of materials and services for designated commodities/part families utilizing MRP and ERP System Reports. Manage procurement of assigned components including order placement, expediting & discrepant material resolution. Identify, develop, and manage effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to meet the established cost, quality, and delivery targets. Develop an efficient method of monitoring purchasing orders and supplier performance. Negotiate price and delivery terms with suppliers to minimize material cost, inventory levels, and transportation costs. Maintain and improve lean techniques for inventory management, point of use stocking, and just in time manufacturing planning of customer orders. Assist other areas on an as-needed basis

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in related field with a minimum of 5 years of procurement experience in an assembly/manufacturing environment. Minimum 3 years' experience with an ERP/MRP system. Excellent communication and computer literacy including MS Office Suite. Demonstrated initiative and ability to self-motivate. Ability to thrive and make decisions independently in a high-stress and fast-paced work environment International procurement experience a Plus. CPM or APICS certification a Plus. A strong understanding of supply chain management concepts and experience with utilizing Lean principles in an assembly/manufacturing work environment required. Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time and lift 30 to 50 lbs
