Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator specializing in Italian food import and wholesale operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage end-to-end supply chain activities, optimize warehouse distribution, and coordinate procurement processes to ensure seamless product flow from international suppliers to our distribution centers. This position is paid and integral to maintaining our high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Place and track purchase orders with suppliers/vendors Monitor and respond to vendor and customer emails Set up new items/SKUs in inventory and pricing systems Coordinate international container shipments — scheduling, documentation, customs paperwork Schedule pickups and deliveries with freight companies Track inventory levels to inform reorder timing Communicate with warehouse staff on incoming stock

Requirements:

Must know how to use email and QuickBooks Able to learn our LOD Depot software Experience in purchasing, logistics, or import/export operations (food distribution a plus) Organized, able to juggle multiple vendors and shipment timelines Import/customs documentation experience a plus Experience Proven experience practicing in a supply chain operations role within the food import or wholesale industry, preferably with Italian or specialty food products. Strong background in procurement, vendor management, and negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with international suppliers. Demonstrated ability in data analysis skills using Excel spreadsheets, SQL queries, Tableau dashboards or similar tools for supply chain analytics. Experience coordinating shipping logistics including freight forwarding, customs compliance, shipping & receiving procedures, and international trade regulations. Familiarity with category management principles, demand planning techniques, production planning (MRP), and profit & loss analysis related to supply chain activities..
