Richmond Community Services is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our team! In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations by managing purchasing activities, coordinating with vendors, tracking inventory, and ensuring our residential and program teams have the materials they need to provide exceptional care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

What You'll DoCoordinate the purchase of supplies, equipment, and services for multiple Agency departments.
Build strong relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and product availability.
Process purchase orders accurately and monitor orders from request through delivery.
Track inventory levels and help maintain appropriate stock of essential supplies.
Research products and recommend cost-effective purchasing solutions.
Resolve shipping discrepancies, backorders, and vendor issues promptly.
Work closely with Finance, Facilities, Human Resources, Residential Services, Nursing, and other departments to meet operational needs.
Assist with maintaining purchasing records, contracts, and vendor files.
Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs.
Support special projects and other operational initiatives as assigned.
What We're Looking ForAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Operations, or a related field preferred.
Previous purchasing, procurement, inventory, or administrative experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with purchasing or ERP software is a plus.
A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset.
