About GTI Designs GTI Designs is a successful foodservice design and equipment company with more than 33 years of industry experience. We provide foodservice design, custom displays, and equipment solutions for projects throughout the United States and internationally. We are seeking an experienced Foodservice Equipment Procurement & Contract Specialist to work closely with our Design and Build team. This individual will be responsible for specifying, sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating display cases /foodservice equipment for a variety of projects. Equipment Specification and Procurement Review project plans, specifications, equipment schedules, and related documentation. Specify appropriate commercial foodservice equipment based on project requirements. Prepare and maintain accurate equipment schedules, quotations, and purchasing records. Source equipment from manufacturers, dealers, and approved vendors. Request and evaluate vendor proposals, pricing, product availability, warranties, and lead times. Prepare and issue purchase orders with complete and accurate equipment information. Verify model numbers, dimensions, utility requirements, accessories, finishes, and installation requirements before ordering. Identify substitutions or value-engineering opportunities when appropriate. Vendor and Contract Management Negotiate competitive pricing, freight terms, warranties, delivery requirements, and other commercial terms. Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, representatives, dealers, and vendors. Review quotations and purchasing agreements for accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Track equipment orders, acknowledgments, production schedules, shipping information, and delivery dates. Resolve pricing discrepancies, shortages, damages, substitutions, backorders, and other purchasing issues. Maintain organized records of contracts, quotations, purchase orders, approvals, and vendor correspondence. Help ensure purchasing decisions support project budgets, schedules, and quality standards. Project Coordination Collaborate with designers, project managers, estimators, contractors, clients, and vendors throughout the procurement process. Communicate equipment requirements, lead times, changes, and potential project risks to the appropriate team members. Coordinate equipment deliveries with project schedules and site requirements. Monitor multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accurate and up-to-date information. Assist with project closeout documentation, warranties, equipment manuals, and final purchasing records. Support the Design and Build team in completing projects accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. What We're Looking For Professional experience in procurement, purchasing, contracts, project coordination, or a related role. Foodservice equipment, commercial kitchen, construction, design, or hospitality-industry experience strongly preferred. Ability to read and understand equipment specifications, schedules, quotations, and project documentation. Demonstrated experience sourcing products and negotiating pricing and purchasing terms. Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Confidence communicating with vendors, manufacturers, project teams, and clients. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Technology Requirements Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel. Ability to create, maintain, organize, and analyze detailed purchasing spreadsheets and project reports. Experience with QuickBooks preferred. Experience with AutoQuotes/AQ or a comparable foodservice equipment quotation platform would be benefical. Ability to learn and use additional purchasing, project-management, and equipment-specification systems. The Ideal Candidate You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident managing purchasing activities from initial specification through final delivery. You understand the importance of accurate documentation, competitive pricing, clear communication, and proactive follow-up. You are comfortable negotiating with vendors, coordinating multiple projects, and solving problems in a deadline-driven environment. An interest in foodservice, commercial kitchen equipment, hospitality, or design would be a major advantage.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
