We are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to support purchasing operations for a long-term contract position based in Springfield, Oregon. This role focuses on assisting with procurement activities, coordinating purchase order processing, and helping maintain efficient practices across the procurement department. The ideal candidate brings experience in corporate procurement and is comfortable working with enterprise systems and data tools.

Responsibilities:

o Support daily procurement and purchasing activities. o Create and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders. o Monitor order status and help expedite deliveries as needed. o Maintain supplier and procurement records within company systems. o Assist with obtaining supplier quotes and gathering supplier information. o Support supplier onboarding and documentation activities. o Assist with sourcing projects and cost reduction initiatives. o Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement needs are met. o Provide general administrative support to the Procurement organization. o Problem-solving skills. o Attention to detail and organizational abilities. o Effective written and verbal communication skills. o Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. o Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. o Customer-focused mindset and willingness to learn. o Experience in procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, business operations, military service, internships, or co-op programs is preferred.
