- Direct Materials to support procurement activities within a manufacturing environment.
This role is ideal for a collaborative, detail-oriented Buyer who can identify procurement needs, make informed purchasing decisions, and work effectively with cross-functional teams and multiple customers. The successful candidate will manage large purchase orders and monitor acquisitions from order placement through delivery, ensuring materials arrive on time, in the correct quantities, and at the expected quality level. What You'll Do Identify procurement needs and execute purchasing activities for direct materials. Create, manage, and track purchase orders, including large and complex orders. Monitor supplier orders to ensure materials are delivered on time, in the correct quantity, and to quality expectations. Work closely with internal customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to resolve purchasing and delivery issues. Support multiple customers and priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail. Review information, identify potential issues, and use critical thinking and sound judgment to make informed purchasing decisions. Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding order status, delivery expectations, changes, and potential risks. Maintain accurate purchasing and acquisition records. Learn and utilize internal procurement systems, processes, and tools. Collaborate with Planning, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other internal teams as needed. Adapt to changing priorities and customer requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What We're Looking For 2+ years of experience working as a Buyer within a manufacturing environment. Experience using multiple procurement, purchasing, or ERP Experience with Coupa or similar procurement platforms. Microsoft Excel skills. Knowledge of MRP systems and processes. Experience purchasing direct materials in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of purchasing and procurement processes. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions. Excellent attention to detail, particularly when managing large purchase orders and multiple line items. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and multiple internal customers. Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities. Flexible, adaptable, and open to learning new systems and internal processes. Collaborative, cross-functional work environment
