This role manages shipments end-to-end, resolves operational issues, and ensures seamless coordination between customers, carriers, and internal teams. The ideal candidate anticipates problems, communicates proactively, and acts quickly to prevent service failures before they impact customers. Key Responsibilities Manage daily freight forwarding operations and ensure timely, accurate shipment execution Own shipments from order entry through final delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction Schedule and coordinate pickups, deliveries, and carrier services Monitor shipments and proactively resolve delays, exceptions, and service issues Serve as a primary contact for customer updates and operational support Investigate and resolve shipment errors, billing issues, and service failures Maintain accurate shipment data and required documentation (BOLs, AWBs, delivery records) Coordinate with carriers, vendors, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure smooth freight movement Escalate risks and potential service failures before customer impact occurs Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company policies, and regulations Support cost accuracy by reviewing shipment charges and vendor invoices Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and service quality Balance customer expectations, operational constraints, and cost efficiency Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications 2-5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation operations preferred Experience with time-sensitive or expedited freight strongly preferred Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure High sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience with TMS systems and Microsoft Office preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Work Environment Fast-paced office-based logistics environment Frequent interaction with customers, carriers, and internal teams Occasional after-hours or urgent shipment support may be required
