Position Overview We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused professional to manage our ocean and air import/export operations . This role requires a proactive problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments and can also contribute to business growth through customer retention and occasional sales outreach. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of experience in freight forwarding , with a strong focus on international ocean and air shipments. Key Responsibilities Coordinate with overseas partners via email to secure bookings and sailing schedules. Keep customers informed of bookings, sailing schedules, and competitive rate options. Manage pre-alerts and ensure timely Importer Security Filing (ISF) submissions. Oversee the receipt and input of pre-alert data into company systems. Prepare arrival notices , facilitate customs clearance , and manage final deliveries . Provide customers with weekly shipment status updates and real-time communication. Handle accurate invoicing and maintain up-to-date cost and rate information. Demonstrate expertise in ocean export operations , including ACE filing. Deliver exceptional customer service at every stage of the shipment process. Manage shipments from initiation through final delivery. Act as the primary point of contact for both existing and potential clients. Draft professional correspondence and maintain a high level of communication. Make sales calls as needed to support customer retention and growth. Job Requirements 5+ years of freight forwarding experience , with a strong focus on ocean import/export.

Preferred:

2+ years using Freight Stream system and Chinese bilingual is a plus but not required. In-depth knowledge of import/export processes and freight forwarding regulations. Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Skilled in cost and rate analysis using computer-based tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); typing speed of 40+ WPM . Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong multitasking, prioritization, and organizational skills. Professional writing ability for effective customer and partner communication. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
