Position Purpose:

The individual will be responsible with working with several internal and external departments, (Sales, Accounts Payable, Customer Service, Transportation Planners, Finance and Carrier Representatives) in order to determine freight bill accuracy, resolve any discrepancies and ensure that our carriers are paid in a timely basis. The individual will participate in the data collection to develop the departmental metrics and KPIs. The incumbent will interface with the Transportation Managers on action plan to reduce freight bill audits and discrepancies.

Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities:

Audit freight bills\nResolve variances prior to carrier billing terms\nMonitor and process freight payments through US bank/Power Track\nResearch reasons for cost variances on invoicing versus stated charges on AS400\nUpdate fuel surcharge in AS400\nFreight rate data entry\nManually input freight rating sales orders that don't automatically rate\nReview carrier-aging reports\nUpdate orders with carrier information\nProvide customer shipping reports for select customers\nFreight Claims - filing, processing & follow-up\nDevelop freight rating purchase orders\nComplete Short Pay forms, where applicable, to be included with payment to carrier stating the reasons for the altered charges\nMaintain invoicing integrity through audit and collaborate with contract carriers to improve and streamline all invoicing activities\nProvide transportation manager with detailed information for corrective action and follow-up with the carrier representative\nProvide Excel report showing freight bill audit reductions\nProvide load and LTL rate quotes\nResolve SAP case disputes\nEnsure that orders have been fulfilled before invoicing\nPerform other related duties as assigned
