Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dependable Dangerous Goods Specialist to pack dangerous goods, verify paperwork, and process shipments for transport. Ensure adherence to OSHA, DOT and FAA standards for land, air and ocean transport. Responsibilities
- Check, pack and prepare hazardous materials per 49 CFR, IATA/ICAO and IMDG standards.
- Mark, label, palletize and shrink wrap shipments.
- Complete compliance checklists and issue dangerous goods/ IMO declarations.
- Verify physical items against shipping paperwork.
- Receive, sort and pack.
- Communicate professionally with key clients via email and phone.
- Maintain inventory control and handle basic data entry.
- Keep a safe and clean work environment. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 2 years of experience handling and packing dangerous goods.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in english.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Ability to follow detailed safety and quality rules.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack.
Pay:
$25.32 - $30.49 per hourBenefits:
