This role is onsite and will serve as a hands-on subject-matter expert for complex LTL pricing, shipment execution, carrier issues, and operational escalations. This position is ideal for an experienced LTL professional who can independently make difficult freight decisions, solve problems quickly, and help elevate the technical capabilities of the broader team without formal people-management responsibilities.

Required:

Substantial hands-on LTL experience within freight brokerage, forwarding, or carrier operations Strong working knowledge of freight class, NMFC, density, BOL requirements, accessorials, volume pricing, and linear-foot/cubic-capacity considerations Experience independently resolving shipment exceptions, carrier disputes, reweighs, reclasses, rebills, claims, and invoice discrepancies Strong judgment when balancing carrier selection, service requirements, freight characteristics, cost, and customer expectations Ability to investigate complex freight issues using shipment documentation, carrier rules, quotes, inspection records, and other supporting evidence

Preferred:

Experience handling complex, high-value, time-sensitive, or non-standard LTL shipments Strong knowledge of carrier tariffs, routing restrictions, and customer-specific shipping requirements Experience coaching or mentoring teammates as an LTL subject-matter expert without formal management authority Experience improving SOPs, carrier guidance, and operational processes based on recurring shipment issues Strong proficiency with transportation management systems and detailed shipment documentation This is an opportunity for an LTL expert who wants to remain close to the freight while becoming the person the team trusts with its toughest shipments, exceptions, and carrier challenges.
