Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Ocean/Air Freight Forwarding Account Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage and grow relationships with clients, oversee the coordination of ocean and air freight shipments, and ensure customer satisfaction. This role requires a deep understanding of international shipping regulations, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple accounts efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, managing day-to-day communications. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement. Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure client needs are met promptly and effectively.
Freight Coordination:
Oversee the end-to-end process of ocean and air freight shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and other service providers to arrange transportation and ensure compliance with all regulations. Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and offering tailored solutions. Monitor shipment progress and proactively communicate updates to clients. Handle any discrepancies or issues that arise during the shipping process and work to resolve them swiftly.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions, shipments, and account activities. Prepare regular reports on account performance and shipment statuses. Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and international regulations.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business (Preferred), Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in ocean and air freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field. Proven track record in account management and customer service.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and documentation requirements. Including, In-Bond transactions, ISF's, 7512 and Customs Entry experience. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with logistics management software.
Certifications:
Any relevant certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
