Job Description

From concept to completion, CAM Innovation has been crafting reliable, innovative, and cost-efficient motor and coil manufacturing equipment for over a century We are seeking a full-time Vice-President of Operations to lead the Operations function to establish operating rhythm and accountability, and ensure that Engineering, Manufacturing and Materials/Scheduling work from one accurate plan. This is a fully in person position in our Hanover, PA manufacturing operation.
Core Responsibilities include:
  • Establish and manage CAM's operating plan, production priorities, capacity, labor deployment, workflow, and cross-functional execution to support financial performance.
  • Ensure one reconciled production schedule is maintained and is tied to customer orders, promised dates, materials, engineering readiness, labor capacity and cash priorities. Require corrective action plans for late or at-risk orders and hold the team accountable.
  • Ensure engineering priorities, design releases, bills of material, controls work, change management, and project milestones support the production plan. Responsible for resolving technical or resource conflicts.
  • Set standards to drive safety, quality, throughput, schedule adherence, labor utilization, rework reduction, housekeeping, preventive maintenance and clear floor leadership through the General Manager and functional leads.
  • Oversee the materials function, including purchasing, scheduling, inventory accuracy, material availability, vendor performance, receiving and shipping. Prevent unauthorized or fragmented purchasing and require visibility to shortages and long-lead risks.
  • Coordinate the operational scheduling and resource needs of Technical Service while preserving its commercial alignment with Sales
  • Implement disciplined operating reviews and measurable objectives. Ensure Global Shop Solutions ERP and approved management tools become reliable sources of operating information.
  • Coach and evaluate the direct reports; recommend staffing, development, discipline and organizational changes. Build accountability without bypassing established managers except for urgent safety, legal or ethical reasons.
  • Operate within approved budgets, protect cash, control overtime and outside services, evaluate make-versus-buy decisions, and partner with Accounting on funding availability, cost, inventory, project margin and capital planning. Ensure required Accounting confirmation and CEO notification occur before commitments are made.
  • Ensure all operational activities strictly comply with relevant industry regulations, legal policies, and safety standards.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Sales, Finance, and other teams to align cross-functional goals, manage capacity planning, and ensure organizational alignment.
  • Global Shop Solutions ERP software experience, a plus
  • Meet regularly with the CEO / Owner to provide relevant information to allow her to make sound decisions.
  • Be visible, a team player and flexible.
  • Other duties, as may be required
Required Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, manufacturing, or related field required. MBA a plus.
  • 10+ years in a manufacturing environment in a leadership role
  • 7+ years' supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of ERP discipline, performance metrics, continuous improvement and change leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Energetic, approachable, and able to foster trust and engagement across diverse stakeholders.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ERP
  • Candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to analyze complex operational issues and develop practical solutions.
