Broad Functions:
Support the Plaza Director in managing Turnpike Plaza operations, helping to deliver exceptional results, foster a positive culture, develop team members, and maintain client relationships. Assist in achieving financial, operational, and guest service objectives while contributing to a best-in-class work environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the Plaza Director in meeting business unit expectations for financial performance, people management, client satisfaction, and business partner relationships. Assist in implementing strategies that enhance workplace culture and motivate team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Help identify and develop promising team members, supporting the leadership development pipeline. Monitor and enforce food safety standards and brand compliance across plaza operations. Assist in budget management and financial monitoring to support achievement of financial targets. Conduct regular brand standards audits and implement corrective actions as needed. Maintain a visible presence on the floor, supporting daily operations and addressing immediate concerns. Help develop and implement initiatives to improve employee retention and satisfaction. Support the Plaza Director in executing business strategies aligned with organizational goals. Assist in managing staffing requirements and monitoring adherence to budget guidelines. Ensure compliance with background screening procedures and maintain accurate employment records. Monitor and optimize daily schedules using workforce management tools to ensure appropriate staffing levels while controlling labor costs. Conduct regular facilities inspections to ensure high-quality storefronts and timely store openings. Liaise with various business units including Human Resources, Loss Prevention, and Finance to support daily operations. Represent the company in the Plaza Director's absence at meetings and public relations activities. Assume Plaza Director responsibilities when the Plaza Director is unavailable.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Assist in leading and developing Unit General Managers and administrative staff. Help monitor performance against established goals and provide regular feedback to team members. Support the Plaza Director in conducting performance evaluations and development planning. Assist in handling associate relations matters according to company policies and procedures. Lead specific operational areas as delegated by the Plaza Director.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Hospitality, or related field preferred. 4+ years of experience in management of food, beverage, and retail operations, preferably in a multi-unit environment. Experience contributing to the success of a multi-million-dollar business operation. Strong understanding of financial metrics and business performance indicators. Demonstrated leadership abilities with focus on team development and motivation. Ability to help foster a positive, high-performance culture. Effective relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and relevant business software. Strong planning and execution abilities to support strategic initiatives. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Analytical capability for budget monitoring and operational analysis. Strong time management, organization, and project coordination skills. Commitment to upholding high standards of guest service and professionalism. Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
