Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Gallatin is seeking a leader for the position of Environmental Manager.
Responsibilities include:
Divisional leadership in achieving Nucor's Mission through the safety and development of our team and the successful execution of the Sheet Mill Group strategy. Leading the division's environmental activities, including environmental systems operations, permitting and compliance, relationships with state and federal environmental agencies, and community outreach. The safety, performance, and development of the Environmental team. Partnering with all departments to drive continuous improvement Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
Three years of leadership experience Environmental leadership experience Experience with environmental regulations and compliance standards Understanding of baghouse and water systems operations and maintenance Must have a General Manager recommendation

  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, recruiting, and coordination of people and resources.
Preferences:
