August 22nd. We are seeking a hands-on, dependable Marina Yard Manager to oversee daily operations, heavy machinery, and vessel movements during our peak seasonal periods. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, a mechanical background, and experience in marine yard operations.
Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation:
Safely operate heavy machinery, including travel hoists, tractors, and trailers.
Vessel Operations:
Oversee and execute proper shoring, haul-out, and launching of vessels.
Team Leadership:
Direct, supervise, and mentor yard helpers and support staff to maintain safety and efficiency.
Maintenance & Repair:
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair yard equipment as necessary to keep operations running smoothly.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate, organized work logs and equipment maintenance records.
Customer Service:
Communicate clearly and professionally with vessel owners and yard clients.
Qualifications & Competencies Required:
Proven experience operating heavy equipment and travel hoists. Strong leadership, supervisory, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and maintain machinery. High attention to detail regarding yard safety and log accuracy.
Preferred:
Marine Mechanic experience (highly preferred). USCG Captain's License is a major plus, and could open up full time employment opportunities. Schedule, Hours, Training & Reporting This position operates on a seasonal schedule aligned with spring launch and fall haul-out: Spring Peak (April 15

Training:
