Northern Logistics is looking for a dependable and motivated 1st and 2nd Shift Dispatcher to join our growing team.

Schedule:

8:00 AM - 5 PM / 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM Monday-Friday Enter and manage customer orders accurately and efficiently Coordinate and dispatch loads to drivers Source and secure backhaul freight using load boards, brokers, and shippers Negotiate freight rates and manage load details to support cost-effective operations Monitor freight markets and identify opportunities to maximize truck utilization Communicate with drivers, customers, brokers, and shippers to ensure smooth operations and on-time deliveries Troubleshoot issues and make quick, effective decisions throughout the shift Maintain accurate and timely records of freight and dispatch activity Work closely with the operations team to ensure efficient daily transportation operations

Job Requirements:

Previous dispatch, transportation, or logistics experience preferred Training provided for the right candidate Strong communication and negotiation skills Excellent organization and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented Comfortable making decisions and solving problems independently Ability to remain calm and professional when handling time-sensitive situations
