Essential Job Functions A Part Time Van Dispatcher may be called upon to do any or all of the following: (These examples do not include all of the tasks which the employee may be expected to perform.) Receive calls from residents to schedule rides Monitors voicemail for calls received throughout the day and after hours Provide information to new residents interested in the ride program Organize a monthly schedule of drivers, buses, and holidays Maintain a client list of their preferences and/or accommodations on transportation software Create daily schedules in the transportation software based on the request spreadsheet and transmit to driver iPad. Schedule those clients with appointment times appropriately in transportation software. Maintain files of weekly and monthly reports Enter data into SMART weekly and monthly reports Enjoy working with and assisting senior citizens Maintain addresses and hours of certain popular location requests in transportation software Work with the Senior Center Coordinator for any special events requests Perform other duties as assigned KSA A Part Time Van Dispatcher , upon application, shall have the following training and experience: High School Diploma or equivalent A valid Michigan chauffeur's license Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience as a Dispatcher Qualifications for Employment Knowledge of city streets, buildings and addresses helpful Good organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work harmoniously with other employees Good interpersonal skills Excellent communications skills
