After- Hours Dispatcher Position Description Location:
2775 101st Ave NE, Blaine, MN 55449

Based on experience and relevant experience, the starting salary range begins at $55,000 Job description: This position is designed to provide critical weekend operational support for both Wilson Lines and Manning Transfer Inc., ensuring seamless fleet management and driver support across our shared network. This role requires maintaining consistent communication between drivers, customers, and internal departments.
Work Hours :
Saturday & Sunday:
8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Wednesday 3pm to 11:30pm (Thursday and Friday off). Training for this position will take 1-2 weeks during afternoons and Evenings (Monday-Friday) Work Description & Objectives The primary objective of this role is to maintain the safety, profitability, and efficiency of the fleet during weekend hours.
Your responsibilities include:
Fleet Monitoring:
Utilize ELD systems to track driver progress and ensure compliance.
Driver Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers regarding maintenance needs, scheduling updates, and route adjustments. Communicate effectively with drivers to ensure accurate load assignments and resolve any issues in real-time.
Load Management:
Book inbound/outbound loads and manage scheduling for Monday morning startups to ensure high-volume lanes are prioritized. Adjust driver plans as necessary in response to weather, traffic, or mechanical issues. Coordinate with customers regarding shipment details, delays, and delivery confirmations.
Data Integrity:
Track loads using TMS (Transportation Management System) and GPS systems with real-time order entries, cancellations, and status updates.
Performance Tracking:
Provide a daily Driver and Load List to management to ensure all active routes are as planned.

Experience and Education:
High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred. 1-2+ years of experience in dispatching, preferably in refrigerated or trucking operations Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, HOS rules, and TMS software (e.g., McLeod, Samsara, or similar). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make real-time decisions. Ability to tolerate high-stress situations and resolve problems in with professionalism, integrity and tact. Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) The company may at any time adapt the functions and requirements of the position to meet the business needs
