Overview We are seeking a dedicated tow truck dispatcher to handle incoming calls from customers, send tow truck drivers to calls, manage the status of tow trucks, and communicate with drivers and customers. Responsibilities Receiving and managing service requests: Answering phone calls, emails, and dispatch software to handle customer requests.

Dispatching tow trucks:

Sending trucks to the appropriate locations in a timely and efficient manner.

Communicating with drivers:

Providing information about assignments, changes, and updates.

Communicating with customers:

Providing updates, answering questions, and addressing concerns. Monitoring and managing tow truck locations: Using GPS and dispatch software to track the status of tow trucks.

Ensuring efficient operations:

Coordinating schedules, managing resources, and optimizing routes.

Problem-solving and conflict resolution:

Addressing issues that may arise during towing operations. Light office work

Experience Prior Transportation or Tow Truck Knowledge:

A good understanding of vehicles and trucks of all types.

Understanding maps and navigation:

A good understanding of local geography and navigation systems is helpful. Skills Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and computer skills are essential. Knowledge of fleet management principles and practices. Proficiency in using GPS systems for navigation and transportation planning. Familiarity with transportation management systems is a plus. Ability to manage logistics efficiently during high-pressure situations. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly.
