Dispatchers. Position Overview The role involves managing service requests, scheduling appointments, dispatching resources, and ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of services. Essential Job Functions Receive service requests from customers via phone, email, or online platforms. Assign appropriate field technicians based on skills, availability, and geographic location to minimize travel time and costs. Schedule appointments and allocate resources to ensure efficient service delivery. Maximize call volume by efficiently dispatching and communicating with department managers and technicians Review and edit technicians time cards to properly reflect their schedule for the day, ensuring the times are matching with the GPS Prioritize calls based on urgency and customer preferences. Make real-time adjustments to schedules due to cancellations, emergencies, or changes in customer availability. Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing updates on service appointments and addressing inquiries. Handle emergency service requests by quickly assessing the situation and dispatching appropriate resources. Maintain a composed and professional demeanor while handling high-pressure situations. Address service-related issues, such as delays, cancellations, or service quality concerns, in a prompt and effective manner. Become proficient in the Company's software application Follow up on parts ordered for service calls Use dispatching software, GPS tracking systems, and other tools to monitor technicians locations and progress. Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive overall experience. Manage customer expectations and communicate any delays or changes in a transparent manner. Required Skills and Experience Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Quick decision-making and problem-solving skills, especially under pressure.
