Job Overview D&M Transportation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Night Dispatcher for our third shift operations. In this vital role, you will coordinate and manage transportation activities during overnight hours, ensuring smooth and efficient freight movement across our supply chain network. Your proactive communication skills, organizational expertise, and familiarity with transportation management systems will drive operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of logistics operations, supporting fleet management, shipping and receiving, and customer service functions to keep our supply chain running seamlessly through the night. Schedule Monday Thru Friday 2300-0800 Responsibilities Monitor and coordinate vehicle dispatching using transportation management systems and vehicle dispatch software to optimize fleet utilization. Manage inbound and outbound freight schedules, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries in compliance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively via phone calls, internal communication platforms, and radio to relay dispatch instructions and updates to drivers, carriers, and warehouse teams. Enter data accurately into logistics Transportation Management system Oversee road transportation operations by analyzing GPS data, GIS mapping tools, and traffic conditions to adjust routes as needed for efficiency. Handle customer service inquiries related to shipments, delivery statuses, or scheduling issues with professionalism and clear communication. Maintain organized records of dispatch activities, shipping & receiving logs, vehicle maintenance schedules, and incident reports to ensure compliance with safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience with transportation planning, dispatching, or logistics coordination in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), vehicle dispatch software, and logistics tools such as

GIS, GPS

tracking, and Oracle Transportation Management. Familiarity with road transportation operations including freight handling, fleet management, shipping & receiving procedures. Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and phone etiquette for effective interaction with drivers, carriers, customers, and internal teams. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail during data entry and record keeping. Understanding of DOT regulations governing commercial vehicle operations and safety standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) along with typing skills for quick documentation. Ability to analyze data using analysis skills to improve dispatch processes and operational workflows. Pay:
