General Manager - Pump It Up Trussville Pump It Up Trussville is a locally owned family entertainment center. We host kids' birthday parties in a building full of giant inflatables, and we run an after-school and summer camp program. New local ownership took over this year, and we are hiring a General Manager to run the place day to day. This job is for someone who gets satisfaction out of a Saturday where every party starts on time, every headcount matches, and every family leaves happy. If you like a clipboard, a checklist, and a plan, you will like it here. What you will do Run the party calendar: bookings, room rotation, headcounts, deposits, and food orders. Schedule and lead party staff and weekend managers, including covering call-outs. Oversee our after-school and summer camp program: enrollment, staffing ratios, parent communication, licensing, and safety documentation. Hire, train, and hold a team accountable to clear standards. Manage payroll hours, labor cost, vendor invoices, and a monthly performance report to the owner. Keep the building safe, clean, and inspection-ready. Handle parent questions and complaints with good judgment. What we are looking for 2+ years supervising staff in childcare, education, recreation, restaurants, retail, fitness, or a similar customer-facing operation. Highly organized. You build checklists, calendars, and trackers, and you actually use them. Follow-through without reminders. You close loops in writing. Warm with families, firm with standards. Comfortable with scheduling software, spreadsheets, and email. Able to pass a background check and childcare licensing clearances. CPR/First Aid within 30 days of hire (we help arrange it). Schedule Flexible, built around the business. Saturdays are required and are our biggest day, with one Saturday off every month. Weekend managers generally cover Sundays. You get a weekday off each week that we set together. Pay and benefits $44,000 to $48,000 per year, based on experience Quarterly performance bonus, up to $4,000 per year Profit sharing after one year Paid time off Physical requirements On your feet for most of a shift, able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, and comfortable moving in and around inflatable equipment in a loud environment. Target start date is mid-November, with paid training alongside our current manager through the end of the year.
