Job Description

Director of Nursing, Skilled Nursing Facility Confidential application process One of our top clients, a respected skilled nursing facility in Augusta, GA, is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead its nursing department. The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader who drives quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and a positive culture for staff and residents.

Responsibilities:

Direct and oversee all nursing services, ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care Lead, hire, train, and evaluate nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, and lead survey readiness Develop and enforce nursing policies, procedures, and quality improvement programs Manage staffing, scheduling, and the nursing budget Partner with the Administrator, Medical Director, and interdisciplinary team on care plans and outcomes

Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia Previous Director of Nursing or Assistant DON experience in skilled nursing or long-term care Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, MDS, and the survey process Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills BSN preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
