Role Overview The Facilities Manager oversees the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and reliability of all company facilities, equipment, and infrastructure. This role leads the Facilities & Maintenance team, ensuring maintenance activities, repairs, preventive maintenance, contractor work, and facility projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with departmental priorities established by the Director of Facilities. The Facilities Manager is responsible for daily execution, team leadership, and operational performance while supporting the Director of Facilities in implementing long-term facility improvements and strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities Facilities & Maintenance Leadership Provide leadership, coaching, accountability, and support to the Facilities & Maintenance team. Ensure personnel meet department expectations, maintain quality and safety standards, and follow organizational policies and procedures. Conduct performance reviews, regular coaching, and team development to strengthen departmental effectiveness. Maintain clear communication with department managers regarding facility needs, project schedules, and maintenance activities while ensuring departmental priorities established by the Director of Facilities are executed effectively. Work Planning & Execution Prioritize, schedule, and assign daily, weekly, and preventive maintenance work across all company facilities. Balance team resources to support planned maintenance, emergency repairs, and operational priorities. Respond quickly to facility issues while minimizing disruption to production and business operations. Ensure work orders, maintenance tasks, and assigned projects are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule. Building, Grounds & Infrastructure Management Oversee the condition, functionality, and reliability of all buildings, mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, utilities, cultivation infrastructure, manufacturing equipment, and grounds. Validate maintenance logs, preventive maintenance records, equipment documentation, and corrective action follow-through. Identify recurring equipment issues, major facility risks, and infrastructure concerns, providing recommendations and timely escalation to the Director of Facilities. Safety, Compliance & Regulatory Oversight Ensure the Facilities & Maintenance team follows all OSHA, CCC, MDAR, environmental, and company safety requirements. Maintain inspection-ready maintenance records, equipment documentation, and compliance-related records. Implement facility safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and corrective actions established by the Director of Facilities. Support physical security coordination as needed. Capital Projects & Contractor Coordination Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day execution of facility improvement and capital projects directed by the Director of Facilities. Coordinate onsite work performed by contractors, including scheduling, site access, safety coordination, and quality verification. Prepare scopes of work, obtain project estimates, and support contractor selection without procurement authority. Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and with minimal disruption to company operations. Operational Efficiency & Continuous Improvement Monitor maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and recurring issues, providing operational recommendations to the Director of Facilities. Support implementation of process improvements, preventive maintenance initiatives, and facility upgrades developed by the Director of Facilities. Collaborate with operational departments to ensure maintenance activities support production schedules and business priorities. Qualifications Five (5) or more years of experience in facilities management, industrial maintenance, plant operations, or a comparable field; experience in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred. Demonstrated experience leading and developing facilities or maintenance personnel. Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, utility, and building systems. Experience coordinating preventive maintenance programs and contractor activities. Working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and facility compliance practices. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
