Part-Time Facilities Staff Position Summary Beth Sholom Congregation is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Facilities Staff member to maintain the cleanliness and organization of our building, including the Early Childhood Center (ECC). This role is essential to creating a welcoming, safe, and well-kept environment for congregants, staff, students, and visitors. Key Responsibilities Clean and organize all areas of the building on a regular schedule, including sanctuary, offices, common areas, restrooms, and classrooms Clean and maintain the Early Childhood Center (ECC), including classrooms, play areas, and shared spaces, in accordance with any applicable health and safety standards Empty and dispose of trash and recycling throughout the building Set up and break down furniture and equipment for religious services, classes, meetings, and special events Restock supplies (paper products, cleaning supplies, etc.) as needed Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or repair needs to the Executive Director Perform light maintenance tasks as needed Other facilities-related duties as assigned Schedule Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week during afternoon and evening hours Flexible schedule required, including availability for evenings, weekends, or holidays to support events and services Qualifications Previous custodial, janitorial, or facilities experience preferred but not required Ability to lift/move 30 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting) Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Background check required (given work in a childcare environment) Basic communication skills in
