Company vehicles are provided for work-related travel. Position Summary Fraser Ventures is a family-owned organization that manages a portfolio of 17 properties throughout Southeast Michigan, including medical offices, commercial spaces, and residential rentals. We continuously invest in our properties to deliver premium, modern environments. Several commercial properties have already been renovated, and additional locations are scheduled for high-end commercial transformations by an outside commercial building firm. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Facilities Supervisor with a strong background in general contracting, carpentry, and facility maintenance. This is a full-time, in-person working supervisor role, five days per week with occasional Saturday work, that combines team leadership and facilities oversight with substantial hands-on project work. The Facilities Supervisor leads and supports a team of five cleaning staff members, one maintenance team member, one landscaping subcontractor, and one painter/general carpentry subcontractor. Day-to-day, the work falls into three areas, generally prioritized in the following order: Daily Work Orders - Manage, prioritize, and complete work orders that arise across the company's commercial and residential properties. Projects and General Contracting Work Independently manage and execute small commercial projects, typically involving one to three trades, from scope development through completion. Serve as owner's representative on large commercial projects, working with the retained general contractor and construction manager while acting as the internal liaison to leadership and key stakeholders. Fully manage small residential projects from inception to completion, including trade coordination, schedule management, and project delivery. Scheduled Maintenance - Oversee and execute scheduled maintenance throughout the facilities, including coordination and upkeep of building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and roofing. Skills Required Ability to obtain estimates and bids, coordinate outside subcontractors for specialized work, and monitor projects to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards. Working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and roofing. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and contractors. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple properties. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, PDF documents, Zoom, and other standard workplace technology. Qualifications Required Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience that includes both general carpentry and facilities supervision or management. Valid Michigan Residential Builder's License. Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record, as this position requires regular travel between properties in a company vehicle. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. The role involves regular hands-on physical work, including lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, and working on job sites.
