Job Description

Facilities Supervisor Position Classification Full-time, salaried (45 hours per week)
Reports To Director of Operations Position Summary:
The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, processes, and resources necessary to ensure all Centerpoint campus sites—including buildings, grounds, The Point Community Center, and Starting Point Preschool—are safe, clean, well-maintained, and fully operational. This position is primarily scheduled during weekdays, with occasional evening and weekend responsibilities as needed.
Core Responsibilities and Qualifications Routine Maintenance Summary:
Ensure the facilities are always clean and well-kept. This involves identifying all the tasks. Inspect campus facilities regularly; establish a housekeeping, security, and general repairs program. 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, property maintenance, or a related field. Strong handyman skills, including the ability to perform or oversee: Basic plumbing repairs Drywall repair and patching Painting and touch-ups Door and hardware repairs Basic carpentry Furniture and fixture repairs Flooring repairs and carpet tile installation General building and equipment maintenance Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine when repairs can be handled in-house versus when a licensed contractor is required. Experience supervising, assigning, and prioritizing work for maintenance staff or contractors. Ability to conduct routine building inspections and identify safety, maintenance, and repair needs. Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices for buildings, equipment, and systems. Ability to coordinate outside vendors and contractors, including scheduling, monitoring work, and verifying completed work. Basic knowledge of HVAC, light electrical, plumbing, and building systems. Ability to respond to maintenance emergencies and prioritize urgent repairs. Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain work orders, maintenance records, inspections, and supply inventories. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment. Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety practices. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and take ownership of facility issues from identification through resolution. High school diploma or GED required; technical school, trade certification, or facilities/maintenance training preferred. Valid driver's license is required.
