This position will direct the planning, development, implementation, management, and oversight of organization-wide facilities management functions across multiple locations. The Director of Facilities Management is accountable for assuring all facilities management business functions are addressed, including but not limited to preventative, reactive and emergency maintenance and repair; HVAC and environmental systems management; life safety systems management; and plumbing/water, electrical, building envelope and structural systems management. In addition, this role will lead space planning and allocation. moves/adds/changes coordination, regulatory and licesning compliance; and vendor management.

Full-time, Monday-Friday, regular business hours Location(s): People Incorporated main office in Eagan, plus oversight for scattered sites throughout the Twin Cities metro area
Hiring Range:

Main Job Duties:
Develop, implement, and manage a standardized intake process for all facilities management matters, including but not limited to: maintenance requests; life safety concerns; space requests; vendor service needs; grounds issues; custodial concerns; energy issues; and general facility-related questions or complaints. Develop, implement, and manage monitoring, metrics, and reporting to ensure that all facilities management business functions are addressed in a coordinated, compliant, cost-effective, and service-oriented manner. Develop, implement, and manage systems and processes for vendor management, including vendor strategy, bid review, contract oversight, service expectations, performance management, and vendor issue resolution for facilities-related services. Manage business relationships with stakeholders in a structured manner, serving as the primary facilities relationship manager for program leadership and organizational departments regarding facilities priorities, expectations, and service outcomes; and providing reporting and advice related to facilities management activities, capital needs, space utilization, building conditions, regulatory requirements, emergency readiness, and operational priorities to organizational leadership. Partner with leaders across the enterprise to understand operating models, programmatic needs, utilization trends, service delivery challenges, and location-specific issues affecting facilities requirements. Supervise and provide oversight and guidance to the Maintenance and Preservation Supervisor and other assigned staff related to the planning, development, implementation and management, of facilities activities.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in facilities management, construction management, engineering technology, business administration, healthcare administration, or similar field. Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management, maintenance operations, property management, construction, or related operational oversight roles. Minimum of five years of experience managing staff and/or cross-functional teams responsible for multi-site facilities operations, maintenance, vendor management, capital planning, regulatory readiness, or related functions. In lieu of above requirements, an equivalent combination of experience and formal learning through nationally recognized certification programs may be substituted.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in facilities management, business administration, healthcare administration, engineering, or related field. Experience leading facilities operations within a healthcare, behavioral health, human services, or similarly regulated environment. One or more certifications related to facilities management, maintenance, project management, building operations, emergency management, or energy management.
