Job Description
Interim Director of Facilities- Missouri American Consultants is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Facilities to provide leadership and oversight of facility operations for a small hospital. This individual will ensure a safe, compliant, and well-maintained environment while managing daily operations, maintenance, life safety, and regulatory readiness. Responsibilities Oversee hospital facilities, maintenance, utilities, and plant operations Manage preventive maintenance programs and facility-related projects Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, OSHA, NFPA, and Life Safety Code requirements Maintain survey readiness and assist with regulatory inspections Oversee vendors, contractors, service agreements, and facility budgets Lead and support maintenance/facilities staff Monitor emergency preparedness, safety, and environment-of-care requirements Identify operational issues and implement timely corrective action Qualifications Previous healthcare facilities leadership experience required Hospital or Critical Access Hospital experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of Life Safety, Environment of Care, and healthcare regulatory requirements Experience preparing for and responding to regulatory surveys Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to quickly assess facility operations and provide hands-on interim leadership
